Anthropocene History - Lecture by Sverker S?rlin

Der Vortrag: Anthropoz?n-Geschichte - Geschichtsschreibung für eine Welt der Elemente, der Beschleunigung und der Krise von Prof. Dr. Sverker S?rlin findet am Mittwoch, 9. Oktober um 17 Uhr im Raum 101 des WZU statt.

Sverker S?rlin ist Professor für Umweltgeschichte an der K?niglichen Technischen Hochschule (KTH) in Stockholm. Er war Mitbegründer des KTH Environmental Humanities Laboratory im Jahr 2012 und ist auch Mitglied des Center for Anthropocene History in der Abteilung für Wissenschafts- und Technikgeschichte an der KTH. Sein Buch mit Eric Paglia, Stockholm and the Rise of Global Environmental Governance: The Human Environment wird im November 2024 bei Cambridge 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏 Press erscheinen.

Prof. Dr. Simone Müller makes it to the final of the Fleck Prize 2025 with her book “The Toxic Ship: The Voyage of Khian Sea and the Global Waste Trade”.
The Fleck Prize, first awarded in 1992, recognizes an outstanding book in the area of Science and Technology Studies. For the 2025 prize, the Committee reviewed more than 45 books and evaluated nominated books on their contributions to the field of Science and Technology Studies, their novelty, and their overall scholarly quality.
