This semester classes will once again take place in person at the 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏 of Augsburg, despite the challenges: “On the one hand, there is still the ongoing corona pandemic, which we must continue to approach with caution, and on the other is, of course, the energy crisis to which we have responded by lowering room temperatures among a range of other measures. The winter semester begins with the new podcast series “UniA to go,” which gives students and staff an overview of the 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏 of Augsburg. As the name of the podcast suggests, every podcast episode includes tips and tricks ‘to go,’ helpful for both first year and continuing students at the 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏 of Augsburg. Nina Lacher and Sara Nu?baum, two students at the university, interview staff from various facilities and services on campus about the services they offer.

The podcast was initiated by the students, who are studying “Global Business Management” at Augsburg. As part of a self-directed project module, the two students were able to work with the Communications and Marketing Department and the Centre for Digital Teaching and Learning (DigiLLab) to create the podcast series.

Research priorities and new degree programs

Two new research centres will be opened this semester: The Centre for Climate Resilience and the Centre for Advanced Analytics and Predictive Sciences (CAAPS).

These centres will further develop the university’s research priorities in the areas of climate resilience and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Alongside research, the range of courses on offer is also constantly expanding. Three new degree programs are starting this semester in the areas of data science, art education, and material chemistry.
