In the coming decades, the research and teaching buildings of the Faculty of 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏icine will form the 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏ical Campus, covering approximately 37,000 square meters of usable space on a 78,000-square-meter site. The campus buildings are arranged along a promenade running north to south, linking the new structures with existing ones, such as the patient garden and the 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏 Hospital. The diverse spatial design ensures a high quality of stay, making the campus a communicative meeting place: a campus lawn, play and sports equipment, shaded seating areas under trees, and specially designed outdoor furniture – such as the “3 Droplets” (three oversized blood drops) in front of the teaching building – invite people to linger.

The teaching building spans approximately 6,400 square meters of usable space and houses lecture halls, seminar and practical training rooms, the medical branch of the 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏 Library Augsburg, an interprofessional training center, the Dean's Office of the Faculty of 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏icine, and the Institute for 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏ical Didactics and Educational Research (DeMEdA).

The Institute for Theoretical 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏icine will provide about 8,600 square meters of usable space for preclinical teaching departments, as well as laboratories, practical training rooms, and a post-mortem area with anatomical facilities.

Until the first new buildings are completed, solid and functional interim solutions will support the launch of research and teaching at the new faculty. The former children's hospital adjacent to the 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏 Hospital has been extensively renovated and adapted to meet new needs. It serves as a place for the first students in the human medicine model program to interact with instructors and patients while learning and practicing medical communication and skills. In addition to seminar and small-group rooms, the facility includes a practical training laboratory, microscopy rooms, and an interprofessional training center equipped with simulation and observation rooms, as well as spaces for learning medical techniques. The building also houses a medical library and provides excellent working conditions for newly appointed professors and the Faculty of 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏icine's Dean’s Office.

Furthermore, the Faculty of 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏icine has rented research spaces for basic and clinical-theoretical research at four locations in Augsburg and Garching, totaling 6,300 square meters. These include both office and laboratory spaces for biomedical research projects. These rentals are essential for enabling newly appointed professors to conduct their research on-site.
