Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Kerstin Stemmer studied biology at the 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏 of Konstanz. After completing her master’s degree and a one-year research stay at the German Institute of Human Nutrition in Potsdam and the Max Delbrück Center in Berlin, she earned her doctorate in human and environmental toxicology at the 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏 of Konstanz in 2009. Alongside her doctoral studies, Prof. Stemmer undertook additional training as a specialist toxicologist from the German Society of Toxicology (DGPT) and obtained European registration as a toxicologist (ERT). After serving as a postdoctoral fellow at the Metabolic Diseases Institute of the 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏 of Cincinnati in the USA, she returned to Germany in 2012 to become group leader at the Institute for Diabetes and Obesity at the Helmholtz Center in Munich. During the same time, she completed her habilitation at the 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏 of Konstanz and was awarded the venia legendi for pharmacology and toxicology in 2018. In 2020, she was appointed Professor at the Faculty of 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏icine at the 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏 of Giessen. Since 2021, Ms. Stemmer has held the position of Professor of Molecular Cell Biology at the Institute of Theoretical 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏icine at the 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏 of Augsburg.
