Research at the Division 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏ia Reality takes place at the interface of communication and media studies. In his opening lecture, Professor Wimmer outlined the overarching research perspective of the Department of 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏ia Reality. The central topics of the department (media culture and mediatization, public relations and participation research as well as virtualization) are investigated in numerous third-party funded and teaching research projects, including a broad spectrum of qualitative and quantitative methods of empirical social research. In addition, conferences, workshops and a series of lectures take place on an ongoing basis. Our research lab, which is open to all students of the institute and the faculty, plays a central role in our research efforts. Students with an interest in gaming and virtual reality can exchange ideas with the lecturers at the GameLab Meet-Ups?twice a semester.
