Im Psychologischen Forschungskolloquium werden laufende Forschungsarbeiten vorgestellt und diskutiert. Zus?tzlich zu Wissenschaftlern und Wissenschaftlerinnen der Universit?t Augsburg berichten auch Mitglieder aus anderen Forschungseinrichtungen über ihre Arbeit.

Research on expertise investigates the performance of professionals in different domains. It is chal[1]lenging to investigate the development of expertise, because it is a long-lasting process. It is aimed to show in the presentation that two different lines of research should be collated, research on intraindividual adaptations of cognitive processes and research on the growth of professional networks. Examples are presented how both processes impact each other. The “Knowledge Restructuring through Case Processing” (KR-CP) theory is pro[1]posed as a domain-general framework that is suited to understand and support the development of expertise. It takes into account both the improvement of cognitive structures and processes and the expectations of the professional world.
